About Sew*Retrospected

I’m Lizzy Marie, and I am Sew*Retrospected. I really wanted to do a sewing, fashion, knitting, and craft awesomeness blog that really has a different perspective than most. Growing up, I was going to be a scientist. I knew that without a shadow of a doubt. Well, life has its way of throwing you a major curveball. After studying Chemical Engineering, I left college after a year. Confused to say the least…I loved chemistry, equations, all of it. So what was the problem? Sitting in my living room, completely engrossed in the 6th season of Project Runway, the light bulb went off! This is what I’m supposed to do, but I don’t have to leave behind my engineering background. So here I am, on my way to MB Fashion Week, to ‘engineer’ fabulous fashion!

With love,
Lizzy Marie

  1. Unfortunately, Flickr apparently had probs w/ people actually linking to photos that weren’t their own. Which means unless you pay to use Flickr Pro, you can’t even get the actual photo URL to you very own pictures. Dumb, I know. What I did do was, click on the photo and download my own photo b/c I no longer had them on my computer. If for some reason you don’t see a download option, you probably need to change the licensing on your photos. I know that was a long explanation, but I hope it helps.

  2. I saw your Sept. 26 WordPress Forum post about difficulty posting photos on your blog using the Flickr page URL and am having the same problem. Did you ever figure out how to resolve this? I apologize for the relevance of this but it is maddening. Feel free to email me if you have a solution.
